1946 Government of Palestine - Central Prison Jerusalem: Letter from Prison Superintendent to Rabbi Aryeh Levin, the "Father of Prisoners", with his handwriting on back.
A rare official letter from the Superintendent of the Central Prison of Jerusalem, to Rabbi Aryeh Levin who was known as "Father of the Jewish Prisoners". In his letter he apologizes for him not being permitted to enter the prison ward of the government hospital on November 9. He guarantees that in the future all facilities will be granted for him for the purpose of administering spiritual comfort.
On the reverse side of the letter Rabbi Aryeh Levin wrote in Hebrew: "Apology for what the Police didn't let me visit the Jewish Prisoners in the Governmental Hospital"
