ארץ ישראל נקנית בייסורים - Letter Handwritten and Signed by the Admor of Yablona Rabbi Yechezkel Taub - Sheikh Abreik, 1926

Letter that was sent from Sheikh Abreik (the future Kfar Chassidim) by Rabbi Yechezkel Taub "The Yabloner Rebee" addressed to the Beit Din of Haifa - Sheikh Abreik, 1926.

The letter was sent in 1926, the first year of the immigration of the Ybloner Rebbe and his Chassidim to Eretz Yisrael. The Yabloner Rav was the grandson of Rabbi Yechezkel of Kozhmir and Rav of Yablona. In 1924, the Rav decided to immigrate to the Holy Land with his Chassidim and went to consult on the matter with Maran the Imrei Emet, who obected to the idea and tried talking him out of it. Nevertheless, in late 1925, the Rav, with approx. a hundred of his Chassidim, immigrated to Eretz Yisrael. They settled in Emek Izrael, establishing the settlement of Kfar Chassidim. Eventually, after undergoing many spiritual and material upheavals, the settlement was abandoned by most of its residents, including the Rav himself, who immigrated to the USA. As indicated by this letter, at the time, the settlement did not yet have a name and was called Va'ad HaMoshava (Sheikh Abreik).

The letter is placed in a file of the Beit Din of Haifa, which contains two additional small documents of the Beit Din.

Tears not affecting the text. Good condition.
