Copy of the Holy Gaon Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vishova (Vizhnitz) and the Rav of Ganich: Meged Shamayim on Pri Megadim - First Edition Krakow, 1895

Meged Shamayim, 4 sections, book on the deep scholarly book Pri Megadim on Yoreh Deah, by Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Shtager. Containing most of the set. First edition (according to the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book) - Krakow, 1889-1895. Separate title page for each section. Section I: Originally, [4], 107 leaves. This copy begins with leaf 47. Section II: 1893. [3], 32 leaves. Section III: 1895. [2], 34-70 leaves. Section IV: 1895. 71-120 leaves. 


The first title page is worn and torn. Some stains. Loose binding - ancient leather spine. The headings are trimmed in several places. Good overall condition. 


On verso of the binding, several handwritten signatures: "מנחם מענדל" "מנחם האגער"  handwritten and signed by the Admor the Gaon Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager of Vishova (1885-1941) the eldest son of the Admor the Ahavat Yisrael of Vizhnitz. Was a renowned and knowledgeable Talmid Chacham. Since 1908 served as Av Beit Din of Vizhnitz, where he established the Beit Yisrael Yeshiva. After his father's passing, began acting as an Admor. Was one of the leaders of Agudat Yisrael and a member of Mo'etezt Gedolei HaTorah. His bones were brought to be buried in Israel, in the plot of the Vizhnitz Admorim. 


A pen notation on the title page: קניתי מהוני לכבוד צורי וקוני יצחק מאיר האגר ירושת"ו"- apparently, handwritten by the Admor of Savoran (1931-2022) with the date "winter 1950" - when he was approx. 19 years old. 


On verso of the title page, ownership signatures handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Yehdua Yoel Deutsch ben Rabbi Yaakov. Served as Av Beit Din of Ganich, Ukraine and was a disciple of the Admor the Yitav lev of Siget.
