Empire style desk in mahogany with solid mahogany roots and veneer, with two drawers and a folding top, with an applied mirror. Top with gray marble top. Interior with a central niche, four drawers and a writing top lined in green sheepskin with gold irons. With mountings in gilded metal representing palmettes, female figures and hybrid figures with horns, Hermes' head and stylized floral and plant motifs. Stands on a cut-out base. Traces of woodworm, oxidation, small flaws, restorations, faults and defects. Dim. approx.: 129.5 x 76 x 39.5 cm.
