Importante grande par de tocheiros em prata portuguesa, séc. XVIII, P. aprox.: 5894 g.
Important large pair of silver torches, 18th century, from the cathedral of Macau. Body decorated with vegetal motifs, scrolls, acanthus leaves, and patterned motifs, including lattice flowers. Triangular section base with vegetal scrolls and each face with a relief Marian monogram. Resting on three ball feet, with stylized claw of phytomorphic inspiration. Interior filled with wood and metal spike. Unmarked, under Decree-Law 120/2017, of September 15 - art. 2, no. 2, paragraph c). Defects, restorations, flaws, and wear. (2) Approx. total gross weight: 5894 g; Approx. height: 81 cm. These torches, along with other pieces, were acquired directly from the Cathedral of Macau in 1972.
