Old Masters Ink Drawing 18th C Attr. Mauritius Lowe
A fine work on paper attributed to Lowe, a gold medal winner at the British Academy of Art where he was also one of the first students. This piece was originally sold by Alister Mathews, a prominent British dealer of old master paintings, drawings and prints, active in the mid-century. Frame Measuring approximately 15 3/4" X 13.5"; actual, about 10 3/4" X 8 1/4". From an estate in St. Louis, Missouri brimming with very high quality art ancient artifacts and antiques..
