Sefer Ohev Mishpat-Mishpat Tzedek - Commentary of The Tashbetz and Sforno on Iyov, Venice 1589. First Edition.

This work contains the commentary from two Rishonim on Sefer Iyov, which were published here from manuscript for the first time, Venice 1589. The manuscript of the Tashbetz originated from the personal library of R. Menachem Azariah of Fano, commonly known as the Rema MiPano. The Sforno’s manuscript originated from the personal library of R. Shmuel Archivolti of Venice (1515-1611), author of Arugas Habosem (Venice 1602).

A very rare work. Uncommon to find in a condition such as this. This copy includes the rare added leaf with errata and printer’s colophon.

In very good condition; generous uncut margins. A small repair to title page border. Bound in an ornate, new leather binding.

212 pp. 20cm.
