The personal Shulchan Aruch which was used by the Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, R. Shmuel Salant. His personal autograph and stamps are seen on title.
R. Shmuel Salant, in addition to his outstanding Torah genius and diligence, was known for his piety and righteousness. As such, it is a rare privilege and opportunity to own the very Shulchan Aruch which he used personally.
This edition was printed by R. Moshe Shapiro at the famed press in Slavita, 1820. Printed with the approbations of leading Chasidic Rabbis, including that of R. Avraham Yehoshua Heschel of Apta. In it, he declares that the books printed by R. Moshe Shapiro are well known for their beauty.
In moderate-poor condition. Worming throughout, affecting text. Lacking final leaf. Without a binding.
