Sefer Neveh Shalom, Venice 1575. A compilation of homilies and elucidations on the Aggadic passages found in the Talmud. Authored by R. Avraham Shalom ben R. Yitzchak, who was active in Catalonia in the late 15th century. In addition to being a scholar of great stature, R. Avraham was well-versed in Greek and Arabic philosophy, and was a staunch defender of the Rambam’s approach in learning philosophy.
In good condition, with occasional light stains. Censorship erasures are seen on some leaves. Previous ownership stamps and inscriptions seen on title page and on other leaves throughout, including stamps of R. Aryeh Rabinowitz of Shavli.
