Effie Calavaza Native American "Zuni" silversmith born 1928 Zuni, New Mexico. Known for her signature depictions of winding snakes around stone. Snakes in Zuni culture symbolize healing and fertility in traditional rituals.
Effie Calavaza handmade cuff in silver with a signature snake wound around another snake in a fertility pattern and resting atop turquoise stone, the snake eyes inset in stone and the bracelet with 4 turquoise and one coral stone. Zuni tribe. Size of opening 2 3/8" W x 1 7/8" H
