Old Coconut Water Bottle & Carved Boab Tree Nut
Coconut water bottle would have had a leaf stopper to the top, has carved triangle bands with white pigment and linier incised designs to mid-section. Heavily carved Kimberley boab nut with feather and scale like incised designs throughout. Size of larger 4 1/2" H x 4 1/4" W
Collected prior to 2008, ex-Lacy Gallery (Vanna & Lee Lacy collection), Los Angeles CA. Lacy Gallery was founded upon six decades of collecting ethnographic and fine art. Lee Lacy was a distinguished Hollywood producer of iconic TV series and commercials.
Condition: Damage to coconut bottle as shown, both sold in as-is condition.
