PAER FERDINANDO: (1771-1839) Italian Composer, employed by Napoleon from 1807. Paer composed the bridal march for Napoleon´s wedding to Marie Louise, Duchess of Parma, in 1810. A good A.L.S., Paër, two pages, 8vo, Paris, 12th December 1835, to Mademoiselle Leonore Leroy, in French. Paër states in part `My piano tuner, Mr Thorin lives at the Rue de l´Echiguer 44, Faubourg Poissonier. You have already forgotten my dear that Monday and Tuesday are the two last days for the exams at the Conservatory and that I must be there. Therefore postpone to a further date the presentation of the good Prince Wolkonski (who I wish to meet I know for the last two years)...´. With blank address leaf, bearing remnants of former seals.
