GUNTHER HANS VON KLUGE
(1882 - 1944) 'Cunning Hans', Nazi general who led a field army in Poland, Belgium, France and Russia where he headed the most powerful army in the center, nearly took Moscow, later committed suicide fearing implication in the July 20 plot. Partly-printed war-date D.S. on his personal general's letterhead, 1p. 8vo., Hannover, October, 1939, a printed letter of thanks signed in blue ink at bottom. Trimmed at bottom, with a blue pencil docket at top, one file hole. Very good.
