2ND MODEL NAVAL DAGGER BY WKC
2nd Model Navy Dagger made by WKC. The 9.75 in. blade is generally very good, with the darkening completely intact, some oxidateio toward the tip on the edges of the blade, as well as in a very small area toward the hilt. The maker's logo indicating manufacture by WKC (Weyersberg, Kirschbaum und Cie.) is distinct. The celluloid grip is fine and undamaged, though the wire wrap has separated in one place and should be replaced. The eagle and swastika pommel and the fouled anchor crossguard, made of a brass alloy, retain most of their original detail, and remain entirely acceptable. A portepee, worn, is properly tied to the grip. The scabbard bears moderate spotting to the gilding, and is very slightly bowed toward the tip, affecting nothing. The push-button lock is functioning. Two mismatched hangers are included, one clearly a reproduction. Estimated accordingly.
