S.A. DAGGER WITH HANGER BY EICHHORN
S.A. dagger, scabbard and hanger from maker Carl Eichhorn of Solingen. The grip of the dagger bears original SA button and eagle which fit tightly and are absolutely original to the grip. There is a tiny ding or two to the wood, mentioned only for accuracy. Detail to the crossguard and upper fitting remains entirely acceptable, though surface corrosion is evident. The crossguard also displays an illegible Gau mark. The blade also bears some corrosion, though the etching remains dark and very distinct. Running lines are minimal. The scabbard bears a good deal of oxidation, mainly evident on the reverse. There is a tiny dent on the top edge. All screws are present. A stadard short S.A. hanger is also present, the snap likewise somewhat oxidized. A little restoration would go a long way on this piece. Estimated accordingly.
