Modeled as a book shelf, the top cover opens on a hinge to reveal two pivoting drawers and a large compartment all lined with quilted red fabric.

The top of the cover with hand painted birds and a marquetry frame.
The book shaped base slides to reveal the key hole, the spine slides to reveal a secret compartment.
