Background: That the author was a disciple of the G-dly righteous man Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berdichev is printed on the title page. The book was brought to print by his grandson who is named after him. Enthusiastic approbations of the great Chassidic leaders of the time extol the author's righteousness, including the author of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz. A letter which the 'Chozeh of Lublin' sent to the author, in which he refers to him as 'Butzina Kadisha' [holy light] is printed in the book.
