A Copper Plate with Armenian Inscription, Western Armenia, 1731
Description: Engraved with a central medallion depicting an animal, surrounded by a row of flowers, the outer edge with alternating stylised trees, and a flowerhead stem and arabesque motif, the edge with split palmette medallions and Armenian inscription: "Son of Hakop, Mahtes (=Holy Land Pilgrim) Abraham. Year 1731".
Diameter: 37.5 cm
