"The delegation hereby confirms that Jeno Schuck is registered in the collective Swiss passport and is therefore permitted to be considered as of a valid passport. 23.10.1944".
The "letter of patronage" (Schutzbrief) is written on the official stationery of "The Department for Foreign Interests of the Swiss Consulate".
Two columns, German and Hungarian.
Official stamp on which it is handwritten in pen: 1429/34 (it is most likely that six people were included in this "letter of patronage"). Under it, in pen: "1944".
This letter was given by the Swiss diplomat Carl Lutz (1895-1975), who served as the deputy consul of the Swiss Consulate of Budapest, to Jeno Schuck, who is most likely Rabbi Moshe Natan Szyk (1895-1974), who served after the Holocaust as the rabbi of Miskolc (1945-1958) and as the chairman of the council of Haredi rabbis in communist Hungary.
