DUBUFFET JEAN : (1901-1985) French Painter and Sculptor. Best known for founding the Art Brut movement. T.L.S., `Jean Dubuffet´, one page, 4to, Vence, 10th October 1959, on his personal printed stationery, to Georges Fall, in French. Dubuffet sends a sharp and elegant message to his correspondent, stating in part `My secretary Madame Neumann has written to me explaining that you consider embarrassing the work we sent you a few months ago. On the other hand I have, in the contrary, several requests which I could not satisfy because I did not have enough copies printed. I suggest therefore that yo send me back the album and this way we will be both satisfied.´ A letter of amusing content.
