GOULD CHESTER: (1900-1985) American Cartoonist. Best known as the creator of the Dick Tracy comic strip, which he wrote and drew over forty years. A.N.S., Chester Gould, alongside a sketch of his hero Dick Tracy, a profile head and shoulders drawing in his hand, one page, 12mo card, n.p., 2nd June 1978, to Chris. Drawing and text in red ink. Gould states in part `I hope our new team keeps you reading Tracy´. To the right side of the card bearing a printed sketch of Dick Tracy, identical to Gould´s hand drawing.
