Condition: Very good. (A- to B+) small tear in the bottom of the poster 1 and1/4 inch long. Linen backed, 24X16.1 inches
“To be read in Le Figaro”. Poster realized by Pierre Bonnard (1867 - 1947) in 1904, in connection with the publication of a novel by Abel Hermant. This advertisement appeared in “Le Figaro” a conservative French daily newspaper founded in 1826 and published in Paris to this day. Bonnard was a French painter and printmaker, as well as a founding member of Les Nabis, a group of Post-Impressionist avant-garde artists who set the pace for fine arts and graphic arts in France in the 1890s.
