A dispute between The Hebrew University and the Zionist administration regarding whether or not the Technion will be part of the Hebrew University
An exchange of letters between the Zionist administration and the University from Feb 1927. On 8.2.27 a document was sent from the university to the Zionist administration. in this letter the University is upset that the Technion budget is being included in the Hebrew Universities general budget " The including of the Technion in anyway is not allowed, just like the name of the Technion must not be included in the name of the Hebrew University.
In a response the Zionist administration on 14.2.27 that the decision to include the Technion in the Hebrew U budget was decided by the general administration. (ועד הפועל הגדול) and that indeed part of the budget for the Hebrew U will go to the Technion.
A very interesting exchange that seemingly has gone on even after these series of correspondences. It sheds light on the dialogue that took place regarding the first higher education institutions of Eretz Israel
