Russian Imperial Badge Commemorating 50 year Patronage of 7th Belorussky Hussar Regiment
Gold wreath of laurel and oak branches at the intersection of which is laid a gold St. GEORGY ribbon with the gold dates «1858' and «1908'.
On the ribbon is laid the gold Roman numeral «L' on which is the fortified gold Mogiliev Coat of Arms: on the upper half is the top part of the State Coat of Arms on a gold background; on the lower is a galloping White Horse­man on a red background.
Between the cypher and the Coat of Arms is a gold star of the order of St. George.

Under Peter I this class of light cavalry began to serve as organized regiments on a semi-permanent basis. Hussar regiments remained a conscious element of the Imperial Russian Army until the Revolution of 1917.
