"HaBokim", photo-album documenting the regiment's activity during the War of Independence, [1947-1948].
75 Interesting photographs: maneuvers, daily life, sites in the Negev, conquest of Beit Govrin Police, etc. "HaBokim" regiment was established in 1947 and during the war was part of Givati Brigade. The soldiers were in charge of securing the south. The regiment blocked the Egyptian army on its way to Tel-Aviv, opened the way to the Negev, conquered the Egyptian posts in "Hulikat" and helped in re-connecting the Negev to Israel.
