Grandkovskiy Nikolay Karlovich (1864, Saratov -1907, Penza).
Nikolay Karlovich Grandkovskiy, a Russian painter, was born on February 23, 1864. His creative style is significantly imitative. Upon the recommendation of Saratov painters D.N. Rossov and M.I. Dolivo-Dobrovolskiy studied in Moscow College. Created landscapes and genre scenes. Studied at Moscow College of Arts, Sculpture and Architecture since 1880 till 1888. Took part in the Association of Itinerant Art Exhibitions. The painter lived in Moscow till 1897. After 1897 to death lived in Penza and gave lessons at Penza Art College and Penza seminary. His paintings can be found in the State Tretyakov Gallery, as well as in regional museums.
