Elkonin Victor Borisovich (1910, Poltava Region – 1994, Voronezh).
Honoured Artist of he Russian Federation, fourfold laureate?) of the 1st Prize of the Moscow Union of Artists (1973, 1974, 1977, 1981), Prize of Council of Ministers of he USSR. Studied in the studio of M. V. Leblan and in the High Art and Technique Institute, Moscow in the classes of К. N/ Ictomin, L. A. Bruni, P. V. Kuznetsov, V. A. Favorsky (1927–1930). In 1930 he entered the art group «Four Arts», in 1933 Elkonin entered the Moscow Union of Artists. Since 1948 he led the Workshop of Monumental Painting organized by L. A. Bruni in 1935. Works of Victor Elkonin are held in the State Tretyakov Gallery, State Rusian Museum, Museum of Moscow Defence, State Museum and Exhibitiona Centre ROSIZO, Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art, and in the art museums of Bryansk, Penza, Perm, Rostov-on-Don, Saratov and Yaroslavl.
