This book is comprised of two parts. The first section is the book Divrei David by Rabbi David ben Zamra: Responsa on Even HaEzer by Rabbi David ben Shlomo Ibn Zamra – The Radbaz, who lived during the time of the Beit Yosef. His signature is David ‘n Zamra and it appears at the end of each responsa.
The second part of the book is comprised of the book Hon Yosef. This is similarly responsa on Even HaEzer, authored by Rabbi Yosef ben Zecharia Zamiro. In this section appear unknown responsa of the Radbaz, followed by Rabbi Yosef’s own responsa on Even HaEzer.

He similarly signs his name at the end of each response.

The Radbaz was one of those who were expelled from Spain and relocated to Tzfat. He spent a significant amount of time in Cairo, where he gained great acclaim, eventually becoming Chief Rabbi of Egypt. The Radbaz spent the end of his life in the Holy Land and many flock to his tomb in Tzfat.
