Chiddushim of the 'Chatam Sofer' on Shabbat: Two Manuscript Pages filled with the Holy Handwriting of the Light of Israel.
A Marvelous Segulah!
"And those who are used to studying his teshuvot feel that they were written with holiness and supreme awe" (HaGaon of Shamloy).
Two pages (a single leaf with text on both sides) on which the Chatam Sofer recorded, in his dense and holy handwriting, his novel innovations on Shabbat.
Segulot of the Chatam Sofer's Writings:
It is known that the members of the Chatam Sofer's family kept the manuscripts of their holy grandfather as a segulah for protection and healing.
The son of Chatam Sofer, Rabbi Shimon Sofer, Av Bet Din of Cracow, used to take [a page with] his holy father's handwriting from his pocket during the times when he had to make fateful decisions in the Austrian Parliament.
Segulah Yirat Shamayim:
His son, author of the "Michtav Sofer" testified that Maharam Bennett used to contemplate at length at the tshuva sent to him by the Chatam Sofer, and said that looking at his holy handwriting is a segulah for Yirat Shamayim.
The Holy Rabbi Pinchas of Ustila said that each and every line of the teshuvot of the Chatam Sofer is capable of godliness.
