Rabbi Yaakov Tzemach (1570-1667) was a leading Kabbalist. He published the writings of Rabbi Chaim Vital, that he retrieved from his grave. This was the foundation of the Kabbalah learning of the Ari. Rabbi Tzemach authored many deep Kabbalah books. The most righteous and great men would study Rabbi Tzemach’s teachings, and act according to his directives. Even the Chatam Sofer had a manuscript of his writings. Rabbi Tzemach and his teachings were highly revered by the Chassidic great Rabbis including the Divrei Chaim of Sanz, the Divrei Yoel of Satmar and many others.
