Beit Meir on Shulchan Aruch Even HaEzer, along with a special section that boasts its own title page – Tzla’ot HaBayit; critique on Even HaEzer. Authored by Rabbi Meir Posner, Av Beit Din Mezeritch and Danzig.


Rabbi Meir Posner (1729-1807) Otzar HaRabbanim 12928, was an eminent Rabbi and Halachic authority of his time. Following his marriage, he settled near his father-in-law in Pozna, hence the name he is referred to. Following his wife’s passing he relocated to Lissa, where he studied with his close confidante, Rabbi David Tevele of Lissa.
Upon his appointment in 1763 as Av Beit Din of Mezeritch, Rabbi Meir’s renown spread throughout Poland, and the masses turned to him with their queries. Rabbi Meir later served as Rabbi in Koenigsburg, and then as Av Beit Din of Danzig, Schottland, Langfuhr and Weinberg.
Rabbi Meir’s composition Beit Meir is recognized as a fundamental Halachic work, and is one of many works he authored.
