Sefer Asaf Hamzkir, references to Drush books which introduce the Aggadot HaShas of the book Ein Yaakov, by Rabbi Zecharya Porto.


Among others, the author refers to ancient works who names have almost been forgotten.
The book was published by the Bnei Talmud Torah Society of Rome, after the author's passing (according to his last will).

Rabbi Zecharya Porto (Otzar Harabbanim 5582): an Italian sage, Rav of Florence and Rome. A wealthy man and philanthropist who supported many communities. Passed away in 1675.

The title page has beautiful illustrations.

The book was also printed in Sefer Ein Ya'akov, Amsterdam 1725-1726, and in several other editions of the Ein Ya'akov.
[4], 300 leaves. 21.5 cm. Very good overall condition. Some stains. Quality paper. New half-leather binding.
