Kiddush Cup by Joh Nic Wollenberg, Nuremberg-Germany, 1775-1789
An 18th-century silver cup, made by the well-known silversmith Joh Nic Wollenberg who worked in Germany in the city of Nuremberg. In 1759 he was awarded the title of Master. The kiddush cup before us is hallmarked and dated

The cup is octagonal - a classic German structure that prevailed in the eighteenth century. The outside of the cup is decorated with delicate and beautiful hammer work. The stem of the cup is connected to it with a screw, and may be disassembled from each other.
The cup is fully hallmarked close to the rim.
