'Shma Yisrael' - Rare Artistic Handwritten Manuscript with Gilt Decorations. Apparently Vienna ca. 1900
Rare manuscript from the early 20th century, designed, decorated and handwritten by a Jewish artist.
Handwritten on this large leaf in amazing calligraphic script is the Parashiya of Shema Yisrael in Hebrew and German, with alternately gilt and black letters.
The architectural border of the poster combines gilt decorations of plants.
The poster is placed in an ancient original frame apparently made in Vienna over a hundred years ago.
Ancient handwritten Jewish posters that were hanged at home or in a synagogue are especially important.
