תצלומים מביקורה הרשמי של גולדה מאיר כשרת החוץ (בממשלתו של בן גוריון) ברפובליקה המרכז-אפריקאית אצל נשיאה הראשון דויד דאקו בראשית שנות ה־60.
בשנים 1961-1962 נרקמו קשרים בין מדינת ישראל לרפובליקה המרכז אפריקנית והתקיימו ביקורים הדדים. ביוני 1962 נחתם ביניהן הסכם ידידות ושיתוף פעולה בלשכת נשיא המדינה יצחק בן-צבי, כאשר דאקו עצמו ביקר בארץ.
