Wood carving, staining, painting, varnished, kiot, under glass, size 38.5 x 31 cm, width 5.5 cm, on the back side there is a mount, good condition. Individual work of a political prisoner who served time in the DALSTROY camp (Magadan).
The work was completed in 1952.
Orthodox icon with an image belonging to the iconographic type of Oranta. One of the most revered icons in Russian Orthodoxy. The celebration in honor of the icon takes place on December 10.
