Sefer Hakavanot, by the Ari. Koretz, [1784]. Rare. Copy of the famed holy Rav Rabbi Nachum Ber [Bernyu] of Sadigura.
On the title page, the stamps of Rabbi Nachum Bernyu with the inscription 'נחום דובער פריעדמאן' and an additional stamp of 'מנחת שי' indicating he received the book as a gift.

71 leaves. After the [Henau] 1624 edition. Without Sefer Sha'arei Kedusha by Rabbeinu Chaim Vital which was printed at the end of this edition on leaves 72-91. On the top of the leaves, the headings "כוונת האר"י ז"ל" and מנהגי האר"י זלה"ה".
The holy Rav Rabbi Nachum Dov Ber Friedman [1844-1883] the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Sholom Yosef of Ruzhin and the son-in-law of the holy Rav Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura, a great Torah and Chassidus Gaon. Lived his entire life in the court of his father-in-law in Sadigura. His large library contained many rare books and manuscripts and was one of the most important and renowned libraries of his time. The Gaon author of 'Yad Yehuda' the Rav of Sadigura writes in his foreword to his Sefer 'And when I came here to Sadigura I found what my soul loved in the house of my relative the Tzaddik Rav the son of the holy Nachum Dov who has a collection of rare books by ancient authors which is unparalleled. Used to stamp his books with three stamps - Minchas Shai (gift), Yerushas Avos (inheritance), Kinyan Kaspi (bought with my money).
The title page is slightly blemished, not affecting the text. Faded. Moth perforations. Some damage to the text on the margins of the first leaves. Minor restoration to the edges until leaf 8. Impressive red binding, original, typical of the bindings of Rabbi Nachum bernyu of Sadigura. Blemishes and moth perforations to binding. Withut Sefer Sha'arei Kedusha which was published with this book. Good condition.
