‘I received from the Rav, Rabbi Shmuel Salant Shlita in Yerushalayim’ – receipts signed by Geonim and Tzaddikim of Yerushalayim, early 1900’s.
24 receipts written and signed by Gedolim and sages of Yerushalayim – Rabbi Yitzchak Yerucham Diskin – with his seal and a signature stamp, Rabbi Avraham Philosoph, Rabbi Shimon Tzvi of Lida – founder of Sha’ar Hasahmayim, Rabbi Zerach Braverman, Rabbi Shneur Zalman Grossman – father of rabi Yisrael Grossman, Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Salant, Rabbi Moshe Meir Heisler on his own behalf, and other illustrious giants of Yerushalayim.
Most of the signatures are on receipts given during the last year in the life of Yerushaliyim’s great luminar, Rabbi Shmuel Salant, and they carry a printed form: “I received from Rabbi Shmuel Salant Shlita in Yerushalayim”.
