Yanai Navon’s work is based on a selection of the metro lines that can be found around the globe.
He builds a new topological map upon which he presents the metro as a tool for traveling from place to place, a tool for connection, a tool for movement of humanity. He handpicks sections of metro lines and places them on the new map that he creates. Yanai brings together different points from around the globe despite the distances and physical barriers separating them. By connecting the different lines he creates new imagination intersections from different points in different popular cities around the world. In this artwork (ōtemachi) the next metro rails copied from different metro maps from the next cities: NYC, TLV, Berlin, London, Tokyo.
