Chassidus. Kehillos Yaakov by the 'Melo Haroim', First Print. Lemberg 5630 [1870]
Introductions and foundations in Kabbala, gathered from the Zohar and the writings of the Ari, organized according to subject.
By Rav Yaakov Tzvi of Yalish, author of Melo Haroim.
With approbations from the Mahari of Zidichov, Rav Chaim Halberstam and the holy Maggid, Rav Avraham of Trisk.
"The holy and pure gaon, holy one of Hashem" (quoted from the Shoel Umeshiv) Rav Yaakov Tzvi Yalish of Dynow, author of Melo Haroim (5538-5585), one of the great chassidic and Rabbinic leaders in Galicia. Disciple of the chassidic founders- the Chozeh MiLublin, the Maggid of Kozhnitz and Rav Menachem Mendel of Rymanow- a good friend of the Bnei Yissochar and the Yeshuos Yaakov.
Rav Chaim of Sanz wrote in his approbation to the Melo Haroim's sefer Beis Yehuda: "and to give an approbation to this holy sefer- is superfluous, since who does not know the greatness and holiness of the honorable holy author...who is renowned across the globe for his righteousness and sharpness; and his holiness has filled the land".
Passed away at the young age of forty-seven; but the literary works, in both the revealed and kabbalistic aspects of Torah which he left behind, are enormous. He himself attests that the number of sefarim he wrote have the numerical value of "Shemen Zayit Zach", and of them the following were printed: Melo Haroim, Beis Vaad Lachachamim, Parashas Derachim Zuta, Hagahos Vechidushim Bashas Vilna and more.
