Rabbi Ben Tzion Roller (1883-1950) was the brother of Rabbi Chaim Mordechai Roller av”d Neamţ, author of Beer Chaim Mordechai. He was one of the first rabbis in Romania to battle modernization, for which he merited the admiration and appreciation of the Admor of Shtefenesht and other Admors from the Ruzhin dynasty in Romania. He was one of the first Romanian rabbis to promote Zionistic ideas and his sermons had a Mizrachi flavor. His Torah thoughts were printed in his grandfather’s Shu”t HaRasbi”d and in other works that he printed, refer to: Encyclopedia L’Chachmei Romania, section two, p. 768-769.
This work was printed in Bucharest in 1936, under the title HaHatra’ah Ha’achronah. We were not able to procure a copy in order to compare the manuscript to the printed version.
