Sefer Avos Olam, commentary on Tractate Avos, with text of the Mishnayos. Authored by Mekubal Rav Binyamin HaKohen, the Rabach, av"d Reggio.
The author, Mekubal Rabbi Binyamin HaKohen Vitale (1651-1730) was a prominent Italian kabbalist and one of the most prominent Italian talmidei chachamim. He was the son-in-law and talmid of the Remez and father-in-law of Rav Yeshayahu Bassan, the rebbe of the Ramchal. Rav Shimshon Chaim Nachmani, author of
Zera Shimshon, was one of his talmidim.
This work was published by the author's grandson, Rav Yisrael Binyamin Bassan, who succeeded his father, Rav Yeshaya Bassan, as av"d Reggio. At the end of the sefer, he printed a poem in honor of the author.
