מהדורה ראשונה, כפי שנכתב בשער: הירושלמי עם הפירוש נמצאו בכתובים בעה"ק ירושלם. כתב היד היה בידי רבי יהודה זרחי אזולאי נכד החיד"א. גם נוסח הירושלמי שנדפס כאן שונה מהנדפס במהדורות קודמות של הירושלמי, ובשולי העמודים ציינו לשינויים.
הרב ד"ר מאיר ליהמן, ממהיגי היהדות האורטודוכסית בגרמניה, כתב הערות לגוף הספר, והוסיף מבוא.
עם הסכמות רבות במיוחד של גדולי הדור מכמה ארצות, חלק מנותני ההסכמות כתבו גם הערות.
