מחנה לוי, חידושים על הש"ס, מאת רבי צבי הירש הלוי הורוויץ [לימים, אב"ד פרנקפורט דמיין. בנו וממלא מקומו של בעל ההפלאה]. אופיבאך, [תקס"א 1801]. מהדורה ראשונה.
המחבר הגאון רבי צבי הירש הלוי הורוביץ (תק"י לערך - תקע"ז) רב העיר פרנקפורט דמיין וממלא מקום אביו בעל 'הפלאה'. היה בן אחר בן עד לרבי ישעיה הורוויץ בעל ה'שני לוחות הברית'.
משנתמנה אביו לרב העיר פרנקפורט, התלווה אליו בנו, ועמד לימינו בניהול הישיבה בפרנקפורט ובאמירת שיעורים בה. נודע בחריפותו ועמקותו בלימוד התלמוד. עמד במשא ומתן הלכתי עם רבים מגדולי דורו ובהם ר' עקיבא איגר. עם פטירת אביו, נתמנה לשבת תחתיו כרב העיר, וכראש הישיבה במקום, ובתפקיד זה כיהן עד יום פטירתו.
