A Set of Paratrooper of 82nd Airborne

Jump Blouse

A tan-colored cotton jump blouse, under whose fly front closure is a 13cm tall zipper " SERVAL" .
Each saddlebag breast pocket has a double snap button closure to their angled flaps which mate with one of two sets of two studs to their pleated fronts.
Identical, although larger, pockets are to each hip. The breast pocket also each have an opening to the top of their flaps which allows a pen or pencil to be slipped inside a narrow secondary pocket sewn to the interior. Integral shoulder straps are snap buttoned near its lay-down collar.
Double snaps are to each of its cuffs.
Four ventilation holes are under each armpit.
Pleats run from the shoulders to the waistband to the center and either side of the back.
Three vertical belt loops along the waistband accept a matching material belt that is permanently affixed.

All four pockets are additionally reinforced.

Insignia on the tunic is an : 82th Airborne Sleeve Badge. The machine embroidered badge shows a double rounded white "A" of white on a blue and red background. A separate, arched "Airborne" badge of white on a blue background is included.

Overseas Chaplein Garrnison Cap

When the U.S. Army deployed to France in 1917 they wore the M1912 service cap but soon found that it was completely inadequate for the conditions found on the battlefield. The solution was found with the allied armies fighting along side of them in the form of a simple rectangular side cap based on a style worn by the French. The cap, which was adopted in 1917, became known as the "overseas" cap because it was only issued to U.S. forces serving in Europe. It was removed from service in 1919 but gradually slipped back into wear through its unofficial adoption by various branches.
