*[Part One] on tractates Brachot, Shabbat, Pesachim, Beitza, Rosh Hashana, Succah, Megillah and a few novaelle on tractate Yomah. Frankfurt am Main, 1752. [2], 52; 66; 50; 37[should be:36]; 29; 26; 31 [should be:12] pages. With the first partial title page.
*[Part Two] on tractates Ketubot, Gittin, Kidushin. Amsterdam 1739. 4; 115; 106; 81; 20 pages.
*Part Three on tractates Baba Kama, Baba Metzia. Frankfurt am Main, 1756. [2], 84; 70 pages.
First edition of the famous novaelle of one of the greatest commentators on the Talmud, Rashi and Tosefot. Chiddushei Pnei Yehoshua have subsequently been printed in many editions, and they are learnt in study houses throughout the Jewish Diaspora, from then until the present day. The author published his novaelle in his lifetime, first part two, Amsterdam 1739, later Part one, Amsterdam 1852, and part three Frankfurt am Main, 1756. The author began the publishing until he died and his son continued, as is printed on the title page.
In Part One is the famous partial title page, in which is written the author's desire to immigrate to Israel.
