Rabbi Yisrael Yaakov Kanievsky, author of Kehillot Yaakov, was a righteous, holy person. He was the brother-in-law of the Chazon Ish. Though he shunned publicity, he was visited by many people and became one of the most prominent leaders of ultra-Orthodox Jewry of the previous generation.
