Nine placards and manifests printed at the start of the 1940s, opposing the White Paper, which limited Jewish settlement in Palestine.
Includes posters denouncing Jewish newspapers that did not print the opinion of the Va'ad Leumi opposing the White Paper; posters denouncing British policies [the English government cannot make us suffer in this land in a discrimantory manner..."]; sharp posters against the White Paper: "The yishuv is willing to undertake any sacrifice necessary to negate this evil decree. The rulers of the country should be assured that there will be no chance of piece and quiet as long as the policies of the White Paper are kept..."; posters announcing protests amongst the Jewish community in Jerusalem.
Most posters bear the date 1940. Most are written in Hebrew. Two posters are in English.
Size: One large poster measures 22x41 cm.; the other manifests and placards measure about 16x24 cm.
