Rabbi Ben Tzion Yehudah Twersky of Hornsteipl was the grandson of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz and Rabbi Zusha of Anipoli. He was born in 1867 to his father Rabbi Mordechai Dov, the first Admor of Hornsteipel and prominent Admor in Russia. He succeeded him as Admor in 1903, though he was his third son. He stayed in the Land of Israel for short periods of time in an attempt to establish a chassidic settlement. The name "Ben Tzion" was added when he was sick. He lived in Kiev, but fled to Poland after the revolution. He traveled to Antwerp in order to arrange immigration to the Land of Israel. Just a few days before the Nazi invasion he succeeded in fleeing to the United States, where he lived in Chicago until his passing in 1951.
