The gaon Rabbi Asher Baruch Perles, dayan of Baia, disciple of the Chatam Sofer [and apparently also of Rabbi Elyakum Goetz Shevrin, Av Beit Din of Baia]. He served for many years as a dayan in Baia and apparently passed away before 1863. [Kֳ¼nstlicher, HeChatam Sofer U'Talmidav pp. 94.]
